How to Add Field Name to Query

How do you take a button on a form (that calls up a query) so that a Field Name on a form is added to the query?

Open the query in design view that is being opened by the button click and locate the field that you want to have filtered. Place your cursor in the critieria row under that field. Right click and select "Build ..." option. Use the options in the Builder to find your form name and then locate the control name. Once the contol name is located click the Paste button and close the builder. This will make the value in the control on your form (by the way, forms have controls, tables have fields) to always be the criteria of your query.
