how to add fields not listed in a combo box

I have a list box with 5 items and need to design an option for a user to add a value that is not listed.
How can I do this ? and how will the new fields be added to the table?

use the notinlist event

you need to insert the record in the lookup table with some code, and the combo-box will then accept the new selection without further ado.
