How do I find the FaceId for buttons on the Right Click Menu. What I would like to do is cycle through the complete listing, find a relevant image, and use that image for some of my Right Click Menu items. I'm using Access 2010 and 2016.

Hi. I think you can download a list from Microsoft.

Sent from phone...

I have an excel file on a drive (somewhere) so I know that they exist but they're not created by M$, so if such a file is to your liking, here's one source that I found. It has versions for several M$ programs.

Thanks for the link. I'll have to check it out further when I get home, as I don't have the permissions to add this to Excel here at work.

theDBguy might be right - I read your post as wanting icons for Office commandbars for the old style regardless of what version you're using.

Thanks everyone, all sorted now. Ended up adding in the Excel AddIn. It's a bit convoluted and it took me a little while to figure out how to extract the FaceId from the image. I was double-clicking the damn little icons, attempted to drag the icons to a cell, all to no avail, yep I was cursing. All that is required is to hover over the icon and up comes the FaceId value.

All I have to do now is pick out some common ones and create some constants in my application.

Forgive my ignorance, is there a newer or improved way to create right-click popup menus?

I have not had the occasion to develop any menus, ribbon style or not, since before I retired. So my familiarization with menus is limited to the old style like
File...This...That....Tools...etc where usually each one dropped down to provide a list of options (a sub menu) or right click (context) menus. They may or may not have had icons associated with a menu item. Or, the toolbar was made up of such icons and no drop down menus. Sound familiar? That's what came to mind when I read your post. So if all that is what you're asking, then you already know that's as old as the hills. It's all part of manipulating the commandbars collection. Unfortunately, I can't shed any light on the new method (custom ribbons) for you.
