How to get ride of Barcode ActiveX?

For printing a barcode on reports, I used a third party barcode ActiveX application.
Now that the number of FEs are growing, purchasing new licenses for each PC (US $169) doesn't seem to be a good idea.
I uninstalled the ActiveX (control panel - Apps and feature), deleted the ActiveX controls from reports and added simple textboxes with free 39 barcode font.

Everything is OK but still the uninstalled ActiveX is listed in database references.
When I select it from the list, the dll path is shown under the list, but the path doesn't actually exist. (the path doesn't show in windows explorer)

While I'm waiting to hear from the help desk, I thought someone can help out.

Is there any way to get ride of the ActiveX?
How Access tracks a dll that doesn't exist anymore?

Any kind of advice is much appreciated.

Press alt+F11
then go to Tools-References.

Uncheck the reference to the DLL

Thanks for helping.

I've already unchecked it.
My question was why the reference exists.
I've uninstalled it and the path Access shows doesn't exist any more. But it's still listed.
Isn't it strange?

i think it is a remnant in the Registry.
there are good registry cleaner out there.

Well, as long as it doesn't lead to licensing infringement, I think I will leave the registry as it is.
I have bitter experiences. I thought some kind of trick can do the magic.

Thanks for your help.

If not sure whether it leads to licensing infringement then do what arnelgp suggested, get a registry cleaner and delete all traces of it. i believe there will be free cleaners out there.

If not sure whether it leads to licensing infringement then ..................

Seems that my English is not good enough.
I meant : "Because it doesn't lead to licensing infringement I leave the registry as it is."
I haven't installed the app more than the number of licenses I own.
