Hi to all, I'm a definite newbie.
I thought I new enought about access databases. I've used the Time & Billing database as a template for my sister to use, but her partner uses a MAC. How can I get the MAC to access the database? I believe the MAC can use Excel but how can I link these two, if at all.
Mucho help needed!!!!

As far as I am aware, you can't get Access for Macintosh. When you say "access", what do you mean? Tables? Forms? Is this over the internet? LAN?

Thanks for reply.
Its over a LAN connection, and I know you can't run Access on the MAC, but I believe Excel will. I need to see if I can get Excel to link into Access so they can both use the database. Or am I creating more of a problem than I need to?

You can link to Access from Excel, but only tables and queries, not forms AFAIK. It would depend on how reliant you are on forms really. If you can get Microsoft Office Web Components for Macintosh, and they work in Mac IE, you could design some DAP forms. Its not going to be a simple task though I don't think.

I would suggest to install Filemaker Pro on the Maccie.
In the latest version you can import data from MSAccess thru ODBC data source.

Here's a link :
