I just tried access 2007 for the first time, and is run
into a problem. My database is divided into a backend and frontend,
but are not linked together yet. To create a link to the tables
in 2003 was easy, but I simply can not find the feature
in 2007.

I have started both my front and backend, and expect that it
is under the tab Database Tools - Linked table manager, I
need to go. But this feature is gray, so I can not start it.

Do I look in the wrong place?

Actually, you need to

1. Go to the EXTERNAL DATA tab on the ribbon

2. On the IMPORT group tab select ACCESS

3. Select the LINK TO THE DATA SOURCE BY CREATING A LINKED TABLE

The rest should be as you remember it

It looks like what I'm looking for. Thanks.
