Did not know C&R reset autonumbers.

So many years with access and I didn't know.

Tera, the trick is that the table must be de-populated for the reset to occur. Otherwise, as Pat pointed out, it just resets to the next available number after the highest extant number currently in the table.

I cannot see any text before the sub? I even copied it using the clipboard button and it displays to me as it does in the thread.?

If you have it for some strange reason just delete everything before the sub. ?
