Hi Guys

I'm relatively new to Access (2010) and I would like some advice on the following.

I'm developing a database containing addresses. I'm using 6 fields - Address1; 2; 3; 4; City & Postcode. It's long due to the complexity of some UK addresses, and on simple addresses I'm only using Address1 together with 3 empty fields.

My problem and question is, how can I accurately (and neatly) produce the addresses in a form when it can vary from 3 to 6 lines, without empty spaces?

You could concatenate the fields and then show the whole address in a text box.

Thanks for the reply Bob. I've looked up concatenation and think I understand the basics, however,as I said I'm new to this, so can I ask how to deal with blank fields and how do I get the 'active' fields to present underneath each other on a form?

Another way would be to use a user defined function, as in the attached db.

Many thanks Bob and Pat, my knowledge is expanding!
I'll work on these and see how I get on.
