How to set checkbox on a continous form, base on values from another table

Hi

Got a continue form which has a checkbox. I want to have this checkbox to turn on if the a field value is found on another table.

For example,

List of item with checkbox beside them

Table 1 with follow values
desk
tv
record
cd rewriter
pencil
pen
pencil

Table 2 with following values
pencil
pen
tv

I would like the checkbox for pencil, pen and tv on Table 1 are to be turned on.

Can this be done ???
