How to set refernce to a field inside a subform inserted in a tab

HI.. Hope theres help.
I have looked through the referencing link but i can's seem to get it to work.

I have two tabs and inside the tabs are subforms.
i want to set focus or change value of a field when a button is clicked.
i enter this code but i always get error


Me!tab1! Subform.form.field.Value = "test"
