How to start making a database of my DVD collection lent out to my friends?
I want to make a database in MS Access which shows my entire DVD collection (just titles, e.g. Miami Vice), contactpersons (just names), who has borrowed any or more DVD and which DVD are lent.
E.G. John: 2 DVD (miami vice & the italian job), Linda: 1 DVD (American beauty), All lent out: Miami Vice, Italion Job, American Beauty. Still in collection: Stormbreaker, ... , ... .
All the dvd's in my collection I got 1 of them. Do I need then "in stock: 1"-function ? Because I never will have 2 DVD of e.g. Miami Vice (I don't own a dvd-rental-shop).
The database has to need a function that john returns 1 of the 2 borrowed DVD.
I can make the 2 lists of 1: my complete collection and 2: al my friends, but that's where it ends.
Who can help me to complete this database ?
