Hi, Im new to this so please bear with me. :) I hope this is the right section to post this.

Im trying to create an inventory database for PC's at work. Is there a way I can total the number of yes/no values to determine the total number of pieces of hardware? I'd also like to be able to total the number of pieces of hardware per department as well. I hope this explains it good enough.

Thanks to all that reply. :)

Im using Access 2003

Yes, all of this can be done in a report. But you do have to know a bit about sorting/grouping and summing in reports in order to set up your report for the desired results.

OK, looks like I'll have a look under the help file now that I know what it's called Im looking for.

Thanks

Try using the report wizard to build the report. It allow you to specify sorting and grouping options. Once you see how it's done, you'll be able to do it yourself.
