I know I am missing something

I know this is probably something very easy, but I may be doing it incorrect. I have two tables, MPL and MU by Prov, which both have a field called ACO Member. The trouble I am having is when I update the field on the MPL it does not update the MU by Prov table. I have set a relationship, ACO Member to ACO Member. Is that incorrect?
