I want lines

I have attatched a jpg-file that shows the layout of my report. I currently have the first one. But isit possible to show the second layout?

In the first I use the form's footer and header to draw the lines, but I can't do that in case two as the "details-section " doesn't run all the way to the end of the page. The lower box is done with the pagefooter.

Any idea how to accomplish something like that? (being the picture on the right)

Make sure you maximise your browser window or all the lines won't show up.

Also which of the two do you prefer?

A third way?

The picture on the right is definitely better, but I don't know how to do that either.

But what if you set the detail section of your report to have NO border (I think I mean a transparent one)? Then you'll have all your header stuff, the black header at the top of your detail section and the footer below. That should look OK.

Set it to have no border, then just use the toolbar to create a rectangle and adjust it to the size you want. This works great unless you often will need to go beyond that box (ie, go to 2 pages, etc). Otherwise, the rectangle should work perfectly...
