I have a nonprofit organization that had many people involved. There are donors, members, board members, parents, and volunteers. I want to use this database for mailings, billing, and solictation for funds. I currently have a field to identify what each individual is. I designate them D for a small donor, DD for a large donor, M for a member, and P for parent. A person can be a parent, volunteer, board member, and large donor. This person would be P,V,B,DD. If I run a query to find a DD, I would not find this person. It can only find the first letter. I wondered about a checkbox system or a lookup table. Thank-you for your assistance. Sorry this should be under tables.

have you tried using *DD* as the parameter in your query? this should work as long as the field is a text field and not memo
