Imported date

Hello,

I have a table that is imported from our AS400. I delivers a transaction date as text in the format YYYYMMDD. I can't work with this and I need to convert it to a date value and then format it MM/DD/YYYY. I'm planing on this import happening automatically 1-3 times per day (TBD).

I don't know what I need for code or where to put it. Any help? I'm a total newbe so I need very good instructions.

Have a look at the DateValue() function. You may need to insert some separators (/) into your string first.
