Hello guys. I have just bought a copy of office xp. I have installed the latest service packs, etc, to bring it up to date. However, when attempting to import a foxpro tables into my new database I do not have the option files of type -> foxpro. I do not have half the files of type I had on a previous version?? Does anyone know how I can update my options? Thanks

What was your previous version of Access? Since you say you're not getting half the formats that you used to, make sure you do a custom install and select all the formats you need (if you haven't already).

Regarding FoxPro files in particular: if you were using Access 97, Access 2000+ no longer includes ISAM drivers for FoxPro tables. You'll now need to use ODBC. I believe Windows XP (and 2000) itself includes MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) that include an ODBC driver for FoxPro table access. What version of Windows are you using?

If earlier than 2000, you will need to download the MDAC components and install them on your PC. Go to this web page for more info: Microsoft Data Access Technologies . Here's the confusing part: the newer versions of the MDAC downloads do not contain the Visual FoxPro drivers. You'll need to go to this page: Data Access Downloads, to the ODBC section, and click where it says "Visual FoxPro ODBC Driver Setups".

Hope that's all clear.
