Greetings all,
I am currently bringing in multiple files (that all have various memo fields) into an Access 2002 db. The files are coming in as tab delimited and from all inspections that I have performed, everything looks ok.
The problem that I'm having is that after performing the import, some of the records come in with the memo fields getting truncated, yet there is no error message generated. I have tried this using an import spec where I have the field defined as a memo field and am using the " delimiter. I've tried importing into a brand new table as well as my existing table and get the same problem. My thought here was that maybe there were carriage controls embedded in the tab delimited file that cannot be seen? Just a guess, anyways, was wondering if anyone could shed some light on to this and could offer a suggestion.
TIA,
Tim
