I have a database with over 50 reports and their source queries.
I want to import some of these reports into a new database (a "lite" version, with far fewer reports). I created the new database, linked the tables in the back-end and then "Imported" the reports I need. Easy and quick.
The problem I now have is deciding what queries of over 100 to import. Each report has at least one query -- but many of these are really queries of other queries etc; some are crosstabs. I know I can go into the properties of each report to find the data source, but this is time consuming and a real labrynth. It is also easy to overlook one of these subqueries and I don't know it until the report doesn't work. I probably should have documented all of this as I wrote the reports, but I doubt I am alone in not doing it at the time and concentrating more on creating the report itself.
Does anyone know any easy -- or quick way or both quick and easy way -- to import the reports and the required queries without all this hassle. The Access documenter can be used, but mine prints so many pages I feel guilty about all the trees it wastes
