Increase the Number of Groups

All,
I am trying to increase the number of possible groupings that you can do in a report. Does anyone know how to do this?

Just to clarify, By groups may I assume you mean sub-groups as I would think the number of groups would be pretty much unlimited depending on the recordsource - ?
