Guys,

Could anybody please tell me if I have written this formula incorrectly as it does not seem to work.

=INDEX(CYOrigin,MATCH(E2,row1,0),MATCH(F5,list,0))

It will find some references but not others, I have checked formatting to ensure like for like, but it still does not work!!


I am completely stumped!!

Howdy. Depends how you have defined the named ranges: CYOrigin, row1, and list. (Also, as a habit I would use FALSE rather than 0 and TRUE rather than 1 in the formulas; but that is just me.)

BTW, it is best not to use normal Excel names (List) for your defined names. Make it MyList or something.

Can you attach it, or a sanitized example?
