Inserting Subreport

I am trying to insert a subreport into my main report, but I am receiving the message:

The link you selected can't be used. This link was created based on relationships between source tables. To use this link you must add the missing fields to the form or report's record source.

What does this mean?

Both reports must have the link fields included. Add these to your report and subreport. They should be defined in the relationships you set up.
