Hi,
My name is Uwe and I would like to introduce myself to the forum and give a brief résumé of my involvement with MS Access. I have worked with the program for many years, not as a programmer, but as an active user living through the frustrations and wonders encountered dealing with an ever changing program. Each time I have developed an Access data base to suit a particular function, and then at a later stage, wanted to modify or develop a similar application, I have had to start from scratch. Well I guess it all adds to one’s experience and keeps one on one’s toes.
I am essentially a mechanical designer/draughtsperson and spend most of my time using AutoCAD. The two Data bases I run at the moment are a Drawing register I use to track drawings and their revisions and a second DB to access components and their pricing. As far as programming goes I use VBA quite extensively to run some excel applications and also use LISP to run some AutoCAD routines.
Well, that sums up who I am and what I do and I am sure you will all hear from me at some point. One last thing, I am South African, German/English origin and at present living in the UK.
Regards
Uwe
