I have 8 laptops 3 don't work at all, in fact one of the three makes a larger bussing sound when I turn it on. 2 work but are very slow. 2 are not slow but have keys that are messed up. 1 is very fast no broken keys, but I can't use it yet, because it has win 11, and I have to much work to learn 11 right now, so I am still using the one were the mouse keys have to have a piece of tape to hold them in place.

If you are web surfing or scanning your mail, a touchpad is convenient. It is pretty useless for actual work, especially development.
