Issues with Lebans RTF control

Hi, all--

I recently downloaded the Lebans RTF control (recommended by a user on this forum). I want to use it to allow formatting within a memo field.

Although I havRTF2 Control Design View Windowe it basically set up, it seems that I keep losing the use of the "RTF2 Control Design View Window". Instead of seeing the content of the record I actually see the words "RTF2 Control Design View Window" in the field either in in a form or report. If I close the database and reopen, the content of the record may appear but it will not stay.

Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas? I am totally new at this sort of control.

I have never used that particular control, but since no-one else has replied yet, is the control unbound? Maybe you need to have some code in the load or on current event of your form to load the data into the control? Lebans probably gave you some example loading code in the download file - he usually does . . .

It is a bound control. The strange thing is that sometimes the data is there and other times I just get the name of the control. I haven't been able to determine the predesposing factors for this.

Have you tried emailing him? Maybe it is a bug in the control . . . it looks like he has only released that one as a beta, so he might be interested in hearing about this.
