Hi, I'm Allison from Canoga Park, California (part of the City of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley).

I have been programming with Access since 1996, but I only consider myself somewhere a intermediate user.

I use Access for databases at work: student info, enrollment information, theatre arts cast lists and cue lists, as well as a Bible Quiz database I recreate each year for the new passages covered for that season. I used to work as a programmer at an insurance agency to keep tract of insurance quotes and bonuses paid to dealers who sent prospects.

My hobbies include camping, reading, and, of course, programming with Access. My current job description is varied (keeps me from getting bored): introductory computer and keyboarding teacher, Bible Quiz teacher/coach, theatre arts teacher (everything from acting and directing to design and tech--my major in college), admin assistant, church bus driver, sound board operator. I am preparing to be a missionary to Native Americans. I am sure I will continue to find use for Access once I arrive.

Welcome from a fellow jack of all trades, master of none, west of you in Nevada. ;)

Pbaldy, thank you, but last I checked Nevada is east of me. ;)

Parts of it are...I'm in NV, but I'm west of where you are in CA. :D

Just for fun and because I'm bored. :p

So true. I was thinking Southern Nevada, actually (Vegas), as opposed to Reno.

That's looking at a flat map. I wonder if the circumference would play a part in it? :p

Flat? You're thinking of Florida; we have big mountains here. :D

Even with the lines of longitude, Reno is further west of Los Angeles.
