last updated?

is there any way to determine what field out of a list of fields was updated last?


ie i have a tracking form with 6 locations, all with the date the paperwork last arrived at that location. i need a way to determine, either by latest date in series or by last-updated which one the paperwork is currently at (that is, which location was updated last)


anyone, anyone?

You can get the LastUpdated property of a table; you can't get the last updated property of a field.

Have you considered adding an audit trail to your form/table? Check out the audittrail.zip sample I posted for it is very easy to add to your db. You could customize it to meet your needs if you only cared about the date the field was modified.

this is wonderful ghudson. exactly what i was looking for. now i just have to implement user priv's and what not so i can track who changes what.
