I would like to learn Access 2000. I have a good working knowledge of Excel. Any suggestions where to start?
I use Quickbooks but it does not track manufacturing inventory, backorders.
I would like to make a program to take orders from several customers, print out a work order for manufacturing, track backorders, etc...

Thanks,

My advice is to go to the book store and buy a thick book on Access 2000. You don't have to read the whole thing, use it like a dictionary, just look up the stuff you want to use.

Launch your Access program and start by making tables for your files, then build forms to view them with.

Julie Misson's your girl, David, at www.simply-access.com And great stuff at Martin Green's site, www.fontstuff.com. And on this forum, follow whizkid Mile-O-Phile around. Cheers

You won't be sorry. It is good. Bookwise, one given to me recently is Helen Feddema's Inside Access. She has a good website too. The Feddema book seems far superior, to me anyway, to Access Bible.
