Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a limit in a filter list (using auto filter), as many of my records do'nt seem to show, unless there is a glitch of some kind :(

I have approx 1300 rows. :o

Thank you.

Limit Filter

To my knowledge there is know filter within excel. I have used the autofitler with 30,000 records. Can you be more specific?

Thanks for the resposne...

I have data that makes up 1300 (approxs) rows. When I perform the AutoFilter option and scroll the list within the drop down filter list, not all records show.

Hope that helps...:o

That's pretty much the definition of Autofilter, only records matching the criteria will show.

Are you sure you have removed ALL criteria from the filter to look at ALL records ?
If so post the workbook and we'll pull it apart and find out what went wrong.

Here we go...do your magic :D

Using autofilter I cannot see Bower Cup Fold in the list.

I have noticed that it displays records (in the scrolling list) up to row number 1060. Nothing beyond that.

I opened your sheet and got down to row 1313 :- ALPHINGATE CLOSE Y Jan 2007
So I don't see your problem.

I don't see Alphingate Cloase at all, even though it's all alpahetically listed. The last record I see is York Road, in the filtering list.

Something I read;

If you're refering to the number of rows visible in the drop down list it's 1000. AutoFilter will operate on lists greater than 1000 rows in length, but you must select "Custom" and enter the value(s) of interest.

:(
