Hi all,
I have a database I use for a company I am in the process of setting up. I also have a website for this company. I am looking to build a form of online account management/viewing for my customers. The database I have on my office machine has a table for customers, jobs, accounts etc. I would like the customers and accounts (financial info) tables to be stored on the same server as my website within an access database sitting in the root web folder. Is it possible for me to create a linked table within the database on my office machine to the access database stored on my web server. I have a hosting account with names.co.uk so the web server is not actually mine. Is this possible? Anyone done this before. I have tried the obvious way of just making a linked table but I get an error message saying "Not a valid file name".
I would be very grateful of any help.
Thanks
Gaz
