Link to Access Table ODBC

Can anyone advise me on code which would create a link to a access table using ODBC. I need this as the database is on a network.

http://www.connectionstrings.com The above link has the connection string information for Access and many other databases. I am a little confused why you have to ODBC because the database is on a network. What kind of database are you connecting to Access with?
