I have a problem with my report not showing all my linked images. I think I have found the problem (see background below), but wondering if anyone knows the solution, a work-around, or anything I can try. I need to be able to print my reports. HELP.
BACKGROUND
I found OldSoftBoss's "ImageSample2000" database very helpful. Thanks to him for posting that as an image handling tutorial when wanting to link to images. I have implemented its principles into my own database and then I created a report that shows all the pictures/graphics pertaining to a certain project. This works great until there are several pictures and then the pictures fail to appear (This is with images < 300 Kb and with a qty < 20).
Then I found RuralGuy's link to some of Larry Linson's findings (http://accdevel.tripod.com/imaging.htm) where he states the following:
Because all pages are formatted before sending to the printer, even what seems to be a modest number of reasonably sized images can use all available memory, and may lock up the computer. . .You will need to experiment to determine the maximum number of images you can print in a single report, should you choose to do so. And, you should be aware that it is likely to be only a few pages.
