I have tables linked to csv files created from our company software. For the most part, my links work well consistently without problem.
I have been having a couple problems with a certain table/link, and it doesn't seem to be caused by anything I can think of.
I can go in, run reports from a query created from the linked table with no problem. Next day, I can go in and the report won't run.
I can run the query no problem.
Error message when trying to run the report:
"The text file specification "xxxx Link Spec1" does not exist. You can't import, export, or link using the spec".
When I try to refresh the table using the add in linked table manager:
"Application-defined or object-defined error".
Other reports and refreshes are working fine.
I am using Access 97.
Other linked tables are to OTHER access databases.
The ones linked to csv files seem to be the problem ones.
-anyone have a similar problem or know what this could be caused by?
While we're on the subject, I always seem to have trouble linking to Excel files, but when I save them as csv files I can link/import much easier.
