Linking a Query to SharePoint Services

Does anyone know if you can link a query rather than a table to a SharePoint Services list? I would like to preserve my one to many relationships in SharePoint, but even when I select a query to link Access creates a new table.

A less desirable choice is to use a multi-select control in Sharepoint. In this scenario, Access displays the multiple selections in a single field, as shown in the screen shot of the table created by the Access Link Tables wizard.

Any suggestions?
