Hi everyone!

I'm pretty much a beginner with Access and have just purchased Access 07 and am trying to do something that I have never tried with any Access, let alone 07.

I have created 2 combo boxes, one for manufacturer and another for the manufactuere dealer. I have used the Access 07 wizard to create these combo boxes.

What I am trying to do is link the 2 combo boxes so that I am able to select a manufacturer and then have only a selected few of the manufacturer dealers become available for selection in the second combo box.

For example,

If I have a total of 20 dealers but only 5 work for a manufacturer called Wollow and I'd like that 5 only to become available.

Is anybody able to help?

Many thanks in advance.

Hello,

what you are talking about is "Cascading Comboboxes", searching under that name you should be able to find lots of information.

Without getting too specific into code, the basic idea is to set the recordset of combobox2 to filter upon the information available in combobox1 using an SQL statement.

But searching for Cascading Comboboxes will reveal lots of answers.
