ListBox recordset different from Form recordset

Hi, I have a ListBox on a form in the Header Section and I can set the ListBox contents to the form recordset OK. However, what I would like is for the form details to hold other records from a different table, so that changes the recordset.
I cant seem to do this - can you help?
I need to use the ListBox because of the multiselect option - I am linking records.
