Listbox vs ComboBox

Hi,
I have just the following question concerning table desing lookup.
I would like to know the difference between list box and combo box. I do understand the difference in forms, but trying to use them in case of a table i do not. They behave the same way to me in a table.

I wouldn't advice using combo's or lookup's directly in any table. There are a number of reasons outlined here; http://access.mvps.org/access/lookupfields.htm

it is not recommended that you use them in tables - you will end up with all sorts of problems. Just because you can do it, does not mean you should do it.

either way, they behave the same way as form listboxes and combos, but in table or query view (i.e. datasheet view), listboxes only show one row. In a form you can achieve the same effect by reducing the height of a listbox to one row or by viewing it as a datasheet

The difference between a List and a table driven Combi is that you can edit and modify the Table without touching the form. A list box resides on the form only. Simon
