I am trying to get the second half of my database complete. I have posted previously about the tables and I think I may have it now but I'm not sure. I have attached the relationship report. The only issue I think I may have is the one-to-one relationship between the tblTraining and tblCertifications. They are connected by the TrainingID which is an autonumber in the tblTraining and will not allow me to do a one-to-many relationship or a many-to-many relationship and quite honestly I'm not sure which would be more correct?

Thanks a bunch!

If its 1-1, and tblTraining only has 1 real field in it (Training) then its an unnecessary table. You should just put that data in tblCertification.

However you already have a field called 'Training' in tblCertification, so I don't know the difference between tblTraining.Training and tblCertification.Training.

I was using it as a lookup table, somewhat similar to what I did with the tblSkills.SkillCode and tblRating.SkillCode.

I don't want the relationship to be a 1-1 relationship but I cannot get it to be a one-to-many relationship. I am wondering if it is because the TrainingID is an autonumber while the corresponding field is a text field?
