I have looked on the forums and cant quite find what im looking for so i wanted to ask you lot for help.

I have a database i have created.

It will be sent out to people to populate via a series of forms i have created.

How can I lock it down so that:
1) you cant access any of the database apart from the forms
2) Lock it so no one can get in to view the code anywhere or make any amendments to the forms and database what so ever

If that link doesn't work do a search on all of the forums using the key words prevent shift

I used his code as is and it worked perfectly....Easiest way I have found so far.

Steve I have used this code

But it doesnt really do much?!?!?1

firstly im not sure what the module does

I have created it. but i dont know what to call it and what to do with it

Secondly

I have tried turning my database into and mde and have note been able.
Access just hangs

thirdly i created the command button but it doesnt matter whether i click it or not as it still lets people hold down shift when the database opens to get into it.

Is there anyway i can prevent them from holding shift

and then when i want to update the db i can press the button type in the password and then get in and then lock it again?
