Locking Issue

Hi

I have created a Form in Access which acts as Front Menu with buttons on, 1 of these buttons opens up another form which is purely used to "view" details, no adding, updating, etc.

These details come from an excel spreadsheet which i have linked as a table in Access.

The trouble is only 1 person can view this at a time, the others get an error message. How can i have this set up so multiple people can view the same spreadsheet at the same time.

Is the database split? Meaning each user has a copy of the front end on their own machines?

Yes the database is split, and they all have their own copy of the front end, There is 1 back end, and the excel sheet is linked as a table into that.
