Looking for quick way of entering data

I am attempting to creat a program to keep track my students grades.

I have created a table with 3 fields "student name" , "assignment number" and "grade received". I do not want to create a new field for each assignment, nor do I want to have to reenter a student's name for each assignment.

What I want is a data entry form that looks like a pivot table with "student name" in the row area "assign#" in the column area and "grade" in detail area.

Is this possible.

Cool. Forgot about the downloadable templates. Too bad none work for anything I'm currently working on. :p

I've looked at the downloadable templates and they are of no use for what I want. I need to be able to see the entire class list of students and all assignments at the same time, then be able to enter data like you would in a spreadsheet.
