Lookup field - "sort" problem

I have used the lookup wizard to create a number of lookup fields across my database. However, according to my Access for Dummies book (!) the wizard should ask me if I want the records sorting ascending or descending. My wizard isn't doing this, and hence my lookup table contains the data in a very unhelpful manner!!! Any ideas?

Hi Just1,

I don't get asked to be able to sort either when using the wizard.

However, In the design view of your form, Right click your Lookup field and go to properties.

Click the Data tab on the properties dialog, click in the field row source and then click the button to the far right which looks like this ...

This should bring up the query builder window.

There you should see your fields which are included in your Lookup field. Choose which field you want to sort by.

Close the query builder, save your changes.

Hopefully Job Done.
