I had a problem resolved here the other day and it involved getting a certificate number to increase automatically in a form by putting using and ID autonumber, putting a text box in and putting in the reference ="GO/" &[autonumberfield] to give GO/1, GO/2, etc.

Is there any where to get the certificate numbers to appear in a query?

In the query, add this to the top row of a blank column in the query's design view:

Fname: "GO/" &[autonumberfield]

Then forms and reports can refer to the value of this field as Fname. A caveat: inclusion of this column may render the query not updateable. You need to try it yourself, as I don't know not-updateable recordsets very well.
