its quite easy all i did was refer the report to your ID number which was "Complaint Number".
in the report if you go into the Record Source (which will look like a normal query) if you click on the 3 dots to the right of the line.
You will see under the "Complaint Number" i have typed
[forms]![table1]![Complaint Number]
To break this down for you [forms] is standard, this tells access you are referrring to a form. Then you put the form name you are referrring to, which was [table1], and then the field within the form [Complaint Number].
I would if a was you use a date filer for the report as well, so a person can preview/print all the complaints that was done on a particalur day.
I would also have something to say if the complaint has been dealt with or not, then you can run a report to display the complaint that are outstanding over a certain time period,l to make sure people are doing there jobs correctly.
There is so much you could do with this database. Give me a day and i could sort it out for you its quite simple.
This is a good way to do a report which you can let the user select what they want to see, so for example if you have a company and contact drop down, and report button, you could let the user pick a company, and preview the report just for that company. Or if they selected a company and contact, it would just display information about that contact for that company.
If you need any help, and you think i can help just drop me a private message and i will be glad to help, they is so much you can do
