Hi,

I am trying to run a make table query that involves using a linked table in Ms from a SharePoint list. However, a few columns I wish to include in my Make table query are calculated columns from the SharePoint list.

The make table query will not run saying "Calculated columns are not allowed in SELECT INTO statements".

Can any think of a solution or a potential work around to this?

I need to create a table with these columns in it.

Thanks in advance.

I need to create a table with these columns in it.

Why? What does a table do for you that a SELECT query cannot?

Because I have an excel file with a macro that reads the table from Access. Or can I do the same thing with a Select query??

My guess is yes, generally a datasource is a datasource. How to do that however, I have no clue.

Of course, I now iterate my initial question to this new scenario: Why? Why is this data coming from Sharepoint, through Access to Excel? What does Excel do that Access nor Sharepoint can? It sounds as if you're creating a Rube Goldberg Data processing system. Please tell me next that Excel feeds a mail-merge Word document that gets emailed via Outlook.

:-) I thought you might ask this.

I don't own or have admin rights to the SharePoint list. Someone else does. I just need to get certain data from the SharePoint list. I have it as a linked table to a MS Access table so that I have a live connection to that SP list. This allows me to run a make table query to get data from this SP list and also from another MS access database to create the single report I want/need.
