Selecting from 3 select queries

V Access 2000

I have v2002 but some of the pc are running 2000 so the 2002 is out

Hi All

New here so I hope some one can help

What I need to do is this.

Dependent on the network provider the sales person then has the a dropdown list of that providers tariffs from the selected tariff only the phones are available on that tariff show in the next dropdown box.
& I only want it to show the phones applicable to the tariff & finally on the last dropdown it gives them the option to select the providers add ons

There is an example posted by Fizzio in the "sample databases" section detailing how to limit the ComboBoxes list dependant on the previous selection.

A search for Cascading Comboboxes always returns results too. :)

Access 2000

What I need to do is select from 2 or 3 tables to create ether a new table to record the selections or some other way.

Tables

Tariff

Handsets

Add on’s

The manager needs to be able to select a tariff then from the list of phones select the one that are available on that tariff & the db need to store this info for the telesales to use with a Cascading combo boxes.

The selection need to be updatable due the network providers changing the handset to the tariffs

Any Ideas on how to do this would be good.

Soz folks I must be a bit dim today.

The Idear is that when the DB is built the customers managers can change the table from the form to give the telesales staff the correct handsets available to the tariff selected.

Am I best off building a table that has the tariff in column 1 & the handset listed in the rest of the columns and set their data type to true or false?

Or is their a way for say the manager selecting the tariff in a combo & the handset in list box or sub form that will build the table for the telesales staff to use on their form using cascading combos?.

I know if I let them into the table they will mess it all up

Any more info please.

I have downloaded the dbcas & it works fine but I don't want the managed to have to build the table every time the networks change their handsets
