hi!

I would like to add an unbound field on a form to calculate the arc cosine of a value in a bound field. I would prefer not to use a VBA formulae. So far I see that I can get sines, cosines, arc tangents, and derive "pi" from the arctangent. How can I use these to produce an angle value from the bound field?

many thanks Ron

You don't say what is in your bound field. It doesn't matter anyway, since I don't know the math. Basically, you can treat your bound field as a variable and insert it anywhere in your equation. You might want to develop this as a function.

The code for computing the value in the unbound field could be triggered through events on the bound field such as "Lost Focus", "Exit", or by pushing a compute button on the form itself.

Maybe this Wikipedia article can help too: Inverse trigonometric functions
