Maths expresions in queries

I am using this to make a quesry:

Criteria: [Specify the height]

When the popup question comes up, how to I enter this:

Less than or equal to 1.5

And how do i enter this (another query):

More than or equal to 0.5

<= [Specify the height]


More than or equal to 0.5:

>=[Specify the height]


The only problem with using this parameter method is that the user can type anything into the pop-up dialog and doesn't treat it any differently.
