A few months age I created a database that allows users to view, categorise, search and store their digital photos. The image files are linked to the database. Everything was fine for a couple of months until a friend of mine invested in a new, more powerful camera. It seems he can't get an image preview when he links the file to the database. I've been playing around with it a bit, and if the file is over 2MB, the image preview in the picture box is severely distorted.
Has anyone heard of this problem? Do picture boxes only display image up to 2MB? Anyone know of a way to solve this?

Tks
Dave

As rich says, access has several ways of displaying the pic. Check the pic size from the new camera by opening it in explorer or something. I found once that a friends camera took a photo that was about 18" square. No wonder it looked distorted. Ths size of the file tends to lead me to think that this may be the case.

Yep, the display is set to stretch. The actual size of the picture box is about 8cm*8cm as it is only an image preview.
I'll play around with the display settings of the picture box, but I'd like the user to be able to see the whole of the image, not just part of it.
