median and mode calculations

Any advise on how to get Access to produce median and mode calculations (in addition to standard average)? No problem to get Excel to do these; however, I want to remain in Access if at all possible to make use of the application easier for users. Thanks

I hope I remember my old school days well: Median should be (Max(Field1)+Min(Field1))/2 - so that's it.
But: Really in Access there is no "median"-function.
